At Nestlé Waters, we believe corporate responsibility is more than just good business – it’s a bond we share with the communities in which we live and serve. We strive to be an exemplary citizen, an active member and friend in the more than 100 communities where we have operations.
Our “Good Neighbor Policy” is a set of 10 principles that help us define how we can take an active and positive role in the municipalities we call home:
1. Open Communication
We are committed to practicing our Good Neighbor policy here in Sacramento, and since our arrival, we have partnered with several local organizations that share our commitment to healthy living and community development.
We sponsored both the 2009 and 2010 California International Marathons and partnered with Girls on the Run of Greater Sacramento to donate one bottle of water for every runner crossing the finish line at the 2010 American River Parkway Half Marathon. Nestlé Waters also sponsored the Downtown Sacramento Partnership’s Concert in the Park series at Cesar Chavez Plaza, and we are proud to have joined the American Heart Association in promoting its Start! Sacramento Heart Walks.
In addition, Nestlé Waters has joined forces with Sierra College to launch an internship program that provides students in its mechatronics program with the opportunity to gain real-world, on-the-job training by working in our Sacramento plant as paid, seasonal employees.
We hope to learn much more about how to continue contributing to the community in the months and years ahead. If you would like to submit a request for sponsorship of a local event or not-for-profit organization, please click here for more information and to complete an application.
